Sanford Police Criminal Investigation Division

The Sanford Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division (C I D) is comprised of a Detective Sergeant, Detective Corporal, Detectives, and a Juvenile Detective. These officers are tasked with follow-up investigations regarding crimes committed against persons or property in Sanford.

The Court Officer is also within the Criminal Investigations Division. The court officer acts as a liaison between the Police Department and the State of Maine and Federal Court systems, ensuring a smoother transition from the investigation of crimes to the prosecution of offenders.
